The month of July is Oregon Craft Beer Month. Over on the The Oregon Brewers Guild’s website they have comprised a list of many events that are scheduled throughout this celebratory month.  Hop on over and pick an event and then enjoy some wonderful native Oregon craft brews.

I ran across this show just recently. Its called the Libation Station on News Radio 750am KXL. I am not sure how long its been on the air but I would give it a listen. Their show is on Saturdays 3pm to 4pm. If you are not near a radio you can grab their podcast and listen anytime. Click on the RSS feed image below and have a listen.

This up coming April 26th the Portland Deschutes Brewery & Public House will be having a Pre-Opening party that will benefit Oregon Trout. Here are the details

When: Saturday, April 26, 2008, 7-10 p.m.
Where: Deschutes Brewery & Public House - 210 NW 11th Ave., Portland, OR
How Much: $50 per person.*

* Price includes 2 free drinks, food and entertainment.

Terrapin Events is changing things up a bit with their annual Bridge to Bridge run in Portland. First off the name has changed to “Bridge to Bridge..to Brews!” and for good reason. This year the race will start and finish at the Widmer Bros. Brewery. The race is on April 20th and starts at 9:00am. There is also a kids 1/2 mile fun run that starts at 8:40am. But probably the best thing about this event will be the After race party. It will be held in the newly constructed brewery. Live music, Widmer Bros beer for all those over 21 and great food from the Gasthaus all await you at the finish! For more Details check out the their website.

In an effort to promote “Northwest Brew Tours,” I have decided to hold a contest. The prize? A $25 gift certificate to the brewpub of your choice!

I will be at the “Spring Beer and Wine Fest” being held at the Oregon Convention Center this coming Saturday, March 22nd, from 12:00 to 11:00pm. While there, I will be handing out cards stating the domain “nwbrewtours.com,” and a code.

Everyone that picks-up one of these cards can then go to the website and submit the code. on 4/4/08 I will randomly choose a winner. Once chosen, I will contact the winner via e-mail to arrange for you to claim your prize.

Your e-mail address will only be used for the purpose of this contest.  I will not sell or otherwise disseminate your information. 

I have now added a forum to the site. It is open for all to read but you must register if you would like to participate and post in the discussions. The idea here is to build a community where we can all share our love of Microbrews, Northwest and beyond, so I encourage you to take part. You can access the forum via the link at the top of the page. Once again, feel free to give me feedback if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Thanks to Google, once again, I have setup a calendar that I tend to add events into that are related to Northwest Breweries and Brewpubs. I also have it setup as a public calendar so you can subscribe to it in any number of ways. If you have any suggestions for events that should be included, please contact me via the contact us form.

This past weekend I changed the Database up some. It is now called “Brewery Database” since most places listed therein are Microbreweries and Brewpubs. I also changed it so when you click on a search result it will take you to that locations individual page on NWBT. From there you can get basic information about that location (Name, Address, Phone number, Website URL) and now even leave comments. I decided to remove the pictures options for the time being due to I was collecting the pictures from each brewpub’s corresponding website. Technically I need permission to do that. Slowly I will ad those back in once I get permission to use the images. Or what would be even better is Visitors submitted photos. If you have a photo of any one of the Brewery or Brewpub locations in the Pacific Northwest and would allow me to post them, please contact me via the contact us link listed on the top of every page.

Each McMenamins location was added into the database along with a picture and their corresponding website URLs. All are added to the Brewpub Locator also.
